8 mistakes you make when washing your face

1. Wash your face more than twice a day

Excessive contact of the skin with water can cause irritation or even lead to a lack of moisture. Peeling appears on dehydrated skin, a feeling of tightness arises, and wrinkles begin to “decorate” the face faster – hardly anyone needs it all. Therefore, in order not to see these unpleasant consequences in the mirror, you can wash your face only twice a day: in the morning and in the evening.

By evening, we collect a collection of dust, dirt and all kinds of bacteria on the skin of our faces. If you apply the cream to uncleaned skin, then through the resulting film it, firstly, will not be absorbed, and secondly, mixed with dirt and dust, it will cause inflammation and rashes.

2. You spend too much time washing face

Many may be carried away by the process itself: thoroughly and for a long time massage the face with foam or gel. This skin also does not need it.

Put a drop of gel or foam on your hand. Remember the more professional the cleanser, the less it needs to be used in volume. Do not worry, it will give a rich foam and cleanse the skin well. Foam the product with your hands. And apply with light, massaging movements on the skin. Massage the skin for 30 seconds, maximum one minute. Then rinse with water at a comfortable temperature. Blot your face with a towel and apply toner or lotion that matches your skin type and then cream.

3. You use the scrub more than once a week

Let’s not be cunning, it really can perfectly cleanse the pores and make the skin dull, but only with careful and proper use. Moderation is a key factor.

Scrub can be used at most once a week. It is very undesirable for dry and sensitive skin. Choose scrubs with small particles. Remember, the larger the scrub particles, the more tangible, the more you will injure the skin, and this is useless. The scrub helps to deeply cleanse the skin, removes dead skin particles. Apply the scrub with light, delicate, massage movements. In no case do not rub the skin, especially if your scrub contains crushed bones. Their sharp edges can damage the epithelium. Apply a scrub within one minute.

Remember that when using a scrub, you remove as much from the skin as it gives away. Not more. And in no case should you rub your skin until redness and peeling.

4. You do not use the product for your skin type

Each skin type has its own needs, and the compositions of the products for them should differ significantly. There are also nuances that are important to know: regardless of whether your skin is dry or oily, avoid products that contain fragrances (they can cause irritation), dyes, parabens and harsh soaps (it dries out the skin, as it contains a lot of alkalies) .

For sensitive skin, it is better to use foam, for dry – milk, foam or gel, for oily and combination skin — gel.

5. You remove makeup with special napkins

Before going to bed, you need to wash off your makeup – this is a mandatory measure, which is not worth mentioning. Cleansing from makeup will ensure the beauty and health of the skin. But here we touch on the topic of napkins.

As it usually happens with us: we come home from work very tired, there’s no strength to go to the bathroom, and we remember that there are cleaning wipes that we use from time to time.

An excellent tool is that it removes makeup and purifies it (it says “cleansing”), and you don’t need to get out of bed again. In fact, not everything is so great. Makeup wipes are removed, but they don’t clean the skin, but on the contrary, make it worse.

6. You forget to wash your hands

Many do not pay attention to this and calmly begin the procedures for cleansing the skin: touch it, massage it, rub it hard. Probably, there is no need to tell that the dirt that appears on the hands can easily get on the face, penetrate the pores and thereby provoke inflammation and redness.

7. You wash your face with hot water

There can be two reasons why you like to wash your face with hotter water: you just like hot water or want to open your pores. But we hasten to destroy another myth: pores can neither open nor close. If you wash only with hot or only cold water (or alternate it), then cause redness or rosacea. Find a balance to wash your face properly: set the water at the optimum temperature, and your skin (and therefore you) will be happy.

8. You use the same face towel for a week

So that morning or evening cleansing does not go to waste, use a clean towel every time and every day. A towel is an ideal medium for the reproduction of bacteria that are happy to “run across” to the face. You can’t meet the unpredictable consequences with just one wave of your hand-throwing a towel in the washing machine. Prepare, for example, on Sunday all the towels at once a week in advance, and then such problems will definitely not arise. And by the way, if you prefer paper napkins because of their simplicity and ease of use, it is better to abandon this habit: such napkins are coarser in structure and can injure the skin.
